An EMP can hit at anytime. We need to be prepared. Seeing as how last month was preparedness month, I looked up a lot of stuff about how to get prepared for an EMP. I found some really great information and some really great blogs/articles. The best thing that I came across was EMPactRadio.org; they were having guests on air a lot to talk about different things having to do with an EMP. Now, they still are having guests on their show on Wednesdays at Noon. Tomorrow they are having a guy named Ken Timmerman be on their show. To read more about Ken Timmerman and what he's done, you can go to EMPactRadio.org and look, and then tomorrow you can go back and listen to the show!

Ken,

Don't go here, Man! Your blog is about you, not others you like or refer us to. Keep your blog to your view of things, regardless of how often you're able to update us.

Who cares about EMP anyway, unless there's a method we can employ that's media specific; something that will debilitate the yellow journalists' agenda back to the stone age...JS

John, start by having some of the 47% of earners, who don't pay income taxes, start paying. We need to cut $4Billion and there are a host of ways. The federal government does not exist to take money from the states and then to send it back for federal programs. Draw your lines on enough money for the federal governmment to meet its Constitutionally mandated empowerments and no more.

I agree that taxing the rich is not the right answer, but then I am left to wonder how we reduce the deficit. The answer of stop spending money is to general. What do we stop funding? How does that affect then state and local governments? In essence, where are the lines drawn and how do we enforce those lines?

Sven, name one country where socialism is working - where it provides for a high standard of living, individual freedom, and individual advancement opportunity to the masses under such a government. By the way Sven, Collectivism, Statism, Marxism, Communism, and Islam all have rule by a ruling class in common with Liberalism and Progressivism - a ruling class that claims to know what is best for the populace - a ruling class that seems to live much better than those not fortunate enough to be in the ruling class - a ruling class that is not freely elected. In addition, Liberalism, under current ideology is Progressivism. the spelling of Statism is not universally accepted.

I'll agree that it's the economy. I also agree that we shouldn't focus on side circuses. But it's a far stretch to pin Birtherism or social side shows on the left wing. I will agree that the former president chose to ignore Osama Bin Laden and focus instead on an unrelated war in Iraq and help bankrupt the US economy.

I will not agree that Liberalism and Progressivism have no history or success. To tie those two to Collectivism, Statism (you typoed this), Marxism, Communism and Islam (really - Islam couldn't get further from Liberalism) is another large stretch. Socialism gets a bad rap because it's usually conflated with Communism.

as usual, you are spot on, boss.it comes right out of the playbook they have been using for 100 yrs. there are people, especially on OUR side who fall for their premises and try to make it(the premises) better by putting the "right"spin on it. we need people to KNOW their politics and put in some good ground work. keep up the fight boss.
